Christmas time in Trentino is characterized by shining lights, colours, the flavour of mulled wine and sweets.
Christmas time is always a special period and of course also the most contemplative. And the lights, candles, delicacies and market booths of the Christmas Markets, in Italian called “Mercatini di Natale”, make this period of time even more special.
In Trento for example the market booths snuggle against the historic walls of the Castle of Buonconsiglio at the Market Place, offering nativity scenes, sculptures, candles and much more. Piazza Battisti is completely dedicated to children. Numerous events make children’s eyes sparkle and of course also Santa Claus is there!
