Garniga thermal baths

Herbs and hay baths as remedy for differnt diseases

A vast garden covered by innumerable alpine herbs surrounds the thermal baths of Garniga, situated for far from the capital Trento. There herbs are cut in the early morning or late in the evening and is kept and soaked in huge tubs. After this procedure the herbs are ready for being applied in the thermal baths.

When having a hay bath, the patient lies down in a bed of hay and grass, which reaches a temperature from 50-60°. Hay baths are especially beneficial in people suffering from rheumatic diseases, tensions, lumbar pain as well as for treating carpal tunnel syndrome and muscle spasm.
