The single villages of this elevated plain are located on moraine terraces. This area is above all characterized by agriculture and livestock breeding. Every year on Assumption Day, in Italian called “Ferragosto”, there is an agricultural celebration (Festa dell’agricoltura) in the villages of Vigo and Dasinodo, attracting gourmets from all over.
Particularly worth noticing is the Parco Letterario, the literary park, dedicated to the poet Giovanni Prati who was born in this village in 1814. Along the paths of this park, different places which particularly lied at the heart of this poet are commemorated.
Equally worth visiting are the biotopo of the Val Lomasona valley as well as the oldest church of the Valli Giudicarie, the San Lorenzo parish church located in Vigo di Lomaso.
Those who love sports can look forward to an indoor climbing gym as well as a wide network of MTB trails.
