Vezzano
Between the Monte Bondone and Paganella mountains, only some km from Trento, there is Vezzano with its vineyards.
The little holiday resort Vezzano is located among a multitude of sights and excursion destinations, ranging from the archiepiscopal city of Trento to the Valle dei Laghi (lake valley) and the Brenta Dolomites. The mild climate, which is referrable to the mediterranen climate of Lake Garda, significantly contributes to your wellbeing and recreation.
To those who love hiking we recommend the geologic trail Stoppani, along which also the so-called “Marmitte dei Giganti” are located. The “giants’ cooking pots” are natural monuments particularly interesting from a geologic point of view, that are holes and hollows that have been formed by glacial movement and have been detected by A. Stoppani in 1875. However, the view from the villages located closeby on the Valle dei Laghi valley and Castle Toblino is simply astonishing. Moreover on the road to Santa Massenza there are several schnaps distilleries, producers of olive oil and broccoli growers.
By the way: At Lake Santa Massenza, there is one of Italy’s largest generating stations, which can be visited every year on the first Sunday in July on the occasion of the open day “Centrali aperti”.
