Campitello di Fassa

Called “Ciampedel” in Ladin, this is a place rich in history and culture.

At the bottom of the Col Rodella mountain (2,400 m) in upper Val di Fassa locates the village Campitello. Here, at a height of 1,450 m, you will find the first alpine tourism centre of the Dolomites. One of Campitello’s quarters is Plan, an ancient Ladin settlement whose nature and buildings are protected by special laws.

Numerous trails take you across Val di Fassa and high up to the peaks of the Sella, Sassolungo and Marmolada mountains. In winter Campitello features a rich number of ski runs, all belonging to the Col Rodella Belvedere ski area. Modern snow-making facilities ensure for lots of fun and snow throughout the entire season. Furthermore, the ski areas Passo Sella and Sellaronda are within easy reach. Just ask for the Dolomiti Superski ski pass, which allows for skiing on a total of 1,200 km of ski runs!
