Valfloriana

The Valfiorina, where the ecosystem is still intact, is not yet spoilt by mass tourism, but pursues a soft approach.

Coming from Trento, the Valfiorina extends in the south-west of the Val di Fiemme on the left riverside of the Avisio. The inhabitants of the Valfiorina preserved their old traditions, as for example the carnival of the “Matòci”, one of the most impressive carnivals of the area. This event takes place every year again and is characterised by its traditional wooden masks, the so called “Matòci” and “Paiaci”. Valfiorina comprises ten localities. However, there is no mass tourism in this area.
