The locality of Dimaro is located at the foothills of the Brenta Dolomites, at the entrance of the Val di Meledrio valley, leading to the winter sports centres of Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio.
The two localities of Folgarida and Carciato belong to Dimaro, which offers numerous historical buildings, e.g. the S. Lorenzo church, dating back to the 15th century, as well as Palazzo del Dazio and a range of stone fountains. In the locality of Carciato you can visit the San Giovanni Battista church, dating back to 1751 AD.
Dimaro is located in sunny location on 776 m asl on a high plateau along the Noce riverbank, in the heart of the impressive natural scenery of the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park.
Dimaro and surroundings render your holidays active, as it offers a wide range of possibilities. Only a stone’s throw away from the locality, there is the skiing area Folgarida-Marilleva, offering 50 km of ski slopes of various difficulty. Those who prefer cross-country skiing will enjoy the 70 km of trails, snaking their way across the valley. Also in summer Dimaro offers numerous possibilites to enjoy the great outdoors, e.g. mountain biking, rafting and hiking.
