Strembo has always been a free and independent village. The family Bertelli from Caderzone never really managed to rule this village. Thanks to a controlled barrier, Strembo was spared by the pest epidemic of the year 1630. However, almost all inhabitants had goats. In winter people wandered about as scissors grinders.
As in Strembo there is also the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, you have got several possibilities for walks in the surroundings. A place of artistic interest is the S. Tommaso parish church.
