Besenello

Besenello is located between Trento and Rovereto and is enthroned by Castel Beseno.

Besenello benefits from its sunny location and its mild climate and is surrounded by fruit orchards and vineyards. Besenello offers a wide variety of possibilities regarding excursion destinations for mountain biking or hiking, such as the Sentiero dell’Imperatore, once established for military reasons. This trail takes from Acquaviva to the Santa Trinità church. Particularly impressive, however, is the abyss on the right side of the church oriented towards Rio Secco.

On a hill above the village, the mighty Castel Beseno rises this castle complex is one of the most important throughout the entire region. Since 1800 the castle is in the hands of the Autonomous province of Trento, which had its castle complex renewed and established a branch of the Castello del Buonconsiglio museum. Today Castel Beseno is also venue for numerous events, also of historical nature.
