Terres

Terres

The tiny little village of Terres is located at 600 m asl at the right riverside of the Tresenga river.

There are some 300 inhabitants in the village located between Cuneco and Flacon in the middle of the high plateau in the west of the Nove river. The apple orchards surrounding the village are cultivation area of the Golden Delicious, Renetta and Red Stark apples.

For those who are interested in culture, the village offers two main sites, which are the S. Filippo and S. Giacomo church that has been reconstructed in 1828 AD, as well as the little San Giorgio church, located at the top of a hill. The interior features Roman wall paintings, probably dating back to the 12th century. Further precious frescos can be admired in the apsis and above the Gothic portal.
