Tuenno
The village of Tuenno is situated at the entrance of the Valle di Tovel valley in the heart of the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park.
This village of prehistoric origin is very important from a historic point of view. The fruit-growing industry boosted Tuenno and as a consequence, elegant and modern buildings were built, which changed the aspect of the village.
Moreover Tuenno is one of the most important agricultural centres of the “Anaunia”, original name of the Val di Non valley. Particularly important are the stock farming, the production of dairy goods, crafts and the tourism sector.
This region is also suitable for pleasant walks throughout the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, which is the last habitat of the alpine brown bear. An oasis of relax, however, is Lake Tovel, which due the red colour the lake got years ago from July to September, is also called “Red Lake”.
