Imer

Imer is situated at the slightly inclined hillsides of the Bedolé and is perfect for hiking and mountain biking.

Entering the Valle di Primiero valley, after the narrow Schener gorge the valley becomes wider and suddenly reveals the peaks of the Pale di San Martino mountain group. This is where the village of Imer is situated, which features a small historic village centre, characterised by the San Silvestro church.

The name of the village derives from the Latin word “imus”, which means “the village situated at the lowest altitudine of the valley”. The origins of Imer, however, date back to the 5th or 6th century. This is at least what a richly decorated tomb from the Langobard age indicates. Nowadays Imer counts 1,200 inhabitants.

Imer, located at 650 m asl near Monte Vederna, a wide elevated plain at the foot of Monte Pavione, offers numerous accomodations as well as perfect conditions for enjoying outdoor leisure time activities.
