Bersone

Bersone

Bersone is an ideal holiday destination for those who seek relaxation, not only due to its vicinity to the Adamello Brenta nature park.

Bersone is located in the heart of the Valle del Chiese and is characterised by the typical construction style of the Valli Giudicarie, which has been preserved up to the present. Bersone extends on a moraine, its centre is characterised by a piazza with granite fountain. Other typical construction elements are the iron railings, low carbon steel, stone portals, entrance portals as well as the wooden architecture elements.

Worth to be visited is also the parish church dedicated to the Saints Fabiano and Sebastiano. It was established in Mediaeval times and reconstructed in the previous century. By the way, the town-hall hosts a special museum, which is the Museo della Grande Guerra, which is absolutely worthwhile, providing an insight into war-related events in this area.

Also numerous customs and traditions are still alive in Bersone, such as the All Saints’ procession, the so-called “Settimana degli orti“ (the week of the vegetable garden), as well as the tradition not to have the bells rang on Easter Saturday in order to save the harvest of the year.
