Bondone sul Lago d’Idrio
Where the Chiese river enters Lake Idro, right there in the south-eastern part of Trentino, nestles the village of Bondone.
A cycling track brings you to the biotope near to Lake Idro and introduces you to the flora and fauna of the lake.
High above the village you can see the peaks and pastures of the Alpo and Cima Tombea mountains, both known for featuring a fairly rich flora. When the view is clear, you might even see the Dolomites, Lake Garda, the Padana plain and the far away Apennines.
Those interested in architecture and culture shouldn’t miss San Giovanni Castle, owned by the local authorities and thus also opened to the public.
