Cimego

Cimego is a calm village in the Valle del Chiese and represents a rural, green holiday oasis.

Both summer and winter, Cimego is a calm holiday destination. Particular popular in summertime are the high altitude plateau of Boniprati, while in winter ski mountaineering and cross-country skiing are some of the most popular activities. By the way, Cimego is also popular from a geologic viewpoint and also Roman inscriptions were found in this area.

Also worth to be visited are the churches of S. Antonio Abate and San Martino. An absolute must-do is the trail Sentiero Rio Caino, an impressive hiking trail that takes you on a journey across the rural village. Moreover it provides interesting information on nature, botany and science. Further testimonials of history are the alpine pastures surrounding the village as well as the clearings that are also part of the museum Ecomuseo del Chiese. Once upon a time charcoal makers were active in this area.
