Praso

Praso

Praso is a typical village characterised by the typical Valli Giudicarie style.

Praso is a typical village of the Valli Giudicarie. The few buildings in the village boast some particular characteristics, such as bed stones, granite portals, wrought iron grids and wooden architectural elements. Worth to be visited is the S. Pietro church dating back to the Middle Ages. From this church you can enjoy a fabulous view on the valley basin of Pieve di Bono.

Hardly a kilometre from Praso there is Sevror, the oldest locality of this area. According to a legend, after its foundation it was settled by a large number of workers who wanted to work as charcoal burners. This is also where the S. Rocco church is located, dating back to the year 1530. Its cupola boasts frescoes of the 18th century.
