Preore
Preore is located along the Sarca river at the foot of the Monte Amalo and has got historic origins.
In the 15th century Preore was seat of the prince-episcopal vicar and for this reason also the most important village in the valley, until the seat was relocated to Tione. Still today Preore, together with Montagne and Ragoli, belongs to the historic Regola di Spinale and Manez, an entity that administers meadows, forests and immovables of the area.
The most famous citizen of Preore is probably Filippo Serafini (1831-1897), Roman Law scholar and senator.
