Folgaria Ski
The vast skiing area of Folgaria in the southern Trentino region stretches from Folgaria to the Alpe Fiorentini.
A total of 18 blue, 18 red and one black slope belong to the offer of the Folgaria skiing area which comprises the slopes round the villages of Folgaria, Serrada and Fiorentini.
But that’s far from being all, as Folgaria has got much more to offer in winter. To make your winterly stay in Folgaria an adventure, there are also the two snow parks Jurassic and Mazinga, two cross-country ski centres, that is to say Passo Coe and Forte Cherle, which is ideal for beginners, as well as toboggan runs and an ice stadium.
Still today several spots in the skiing area reveal that this high plain used to be battle area in WW1. The ancient fortresses of the Austrians and Italians make the winter landscape even more special. For this reason the ski compound of Folgaria and Lavarone is also called „Skitour dei Forti“, which means skitour of the fortresses.
