Madonna di Campiglio is one of the most famous ski resorts in the world.

Madonna di Campiglio - a Mecca for skiers and snowboarders, surrounded by the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello and Presanella glacier. This ski resort is not only very popular with tourists from all over the world, but also with Italians themselves. Even Emperor Franz and his wife Elizabeth loved this place and came to Madonna di Campiglio twice. This is also the area where the Italian ski champion Alberto Tomba comes from. Here the élite of the ski circus meets up… hardly surprising, as it has got much to offer!

There are slopes of varying difficulty, also very challenging ones: One of these ski runs features a drop of up to 70 %! Moreover there is the “3-Tre” FIS ski slope, which every year is venue for a slalom competition of the male ski World Cup. Well-known ski champions like Thoeni, Tomba and Rocca succeeded on this ski slope.

Cinque Laghi, Pradalago, Grostè and Spinale - everything is connected, so you don’t have to unstrap your skis - unless you would like to stop in one of the ski lodges or restaurants. However, not only the 22 lift facilities are state-of-the-art, but also snowmaking equipment, which covers 87 % of the ski slopes with snow. The skipass can also be acquired via sms!

Snowboarders, however, will look forward to the “Ursus Snowpark”, where slides, jumps, quarters, spine and a boardercross track will make their hearts leap for joy. Also cross-country skiers are warmly welcome at Madonna di Campiglio, where they can enjoy 22 km of cross-country ski trails at Campo Carlo Magno when skiing throughout an amazing landscape. A welcome change is also snowshoeing, for example to Malga Mondifrà or Malga Vaglianella.

New in winter 2011/12: in service is now the panoramic funicular Pinzolo - Campiglio Express. Finally Madonna di Campiglio is not only connected to Folgarida - Marilleva, but also to Pinzolo. Within 8 minutes only, you arrive at Pinzolo. In this way sports enthusiasts can enjoy skiing in one huge skiing area with more than 150 km of ski slopes.
