Monclassico

This village is situated at 790 m asl near the wide plain opposite the Brenta Dolomites, not far from the popular ski resorts Folgarida and Marilleva.

Not far from the plain of Monclassico, there is the homonymous village, featuring historical origins. Part of the village is also Presson, the only locality of Monclassico. On a hill, there is the San Vigilio church with three altars by Bezzi and Lenner as well as late gothic sculptures.

Other remarkable sights are buildings featuring beautiful windows and stone portals. A very special initiative, however, has been launched in 2003. Every year five buildings should be provided with a sundial, decorated by local artists.

Furthermore, for all sports enthusiasts there is a tennis court, a bowling alley and it is also possible to try paragliding. As Monclassico is situated not far from the famous ski resorts Folgarida and Marilleva, it is also a popular winter holiday destination.
